Obituary of James Allen Sanford
James Allen Sanford, age 48, passed away Tuesday May 1, 2018. He was born on January 29, 1970 to Burnie Edward Sanford and Martha Jane Jones in Kountze, Texas.
James was a carpenter by trade and spent most of his career working for Cormier Homes in Lumberton, TX. He was a smart, hardworking man who had a gift for building things and putting things together. James was a skilled craftsman who was able to pass on his knowledge to his sons and brothers. Whatever he built, he was able to sell to supplement his income. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke and tease. He especially enjoyed joking around with his Mom. James will be greatly missed by all who love him.
Left to honor James’ memory is his mother, Martha Jane Sanford of Silsbee, TX; sons, Josh Allen Sanford and wife, Amber, of Silsbee, TX, Seth Caleb Sanford and wife, Jessica, of Silsbee, TX; daughter, Lauren Dearing and husband of Port Arthur, TX; brothers, Robert Edward Sanford and wife, Shellie, of Evadale, TX, Phillip Vincent Sanford of Kountze, TX, William Joseph Sanford and wife, Chelsea of Silsbee, TX; sister, Mary Jane Holyfield of Silsbee, TX; grandchildren; Carson, Emily, Jayden, and Claire.
Preceding James in death is his father: Burnie Edward Sanford and sister, Tonya Lynn Dillard. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
Private memorial service to be held at a later date.
