Obituary of Georgia Pauline Flowers

Georgia Pauline “Totsy” Flowers, 82, of Silsbee, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018. She was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church.  She was the secretary at the City of Silsbee. She later started working as the manager for Dollar General in Silsbee, then worked her way up to regional manager. She loved traveling to Beaumont and playing Bingo. She was a great cook and could prepare anything. She was a wonderful mother, and she loved her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Cora Burge; first husband, Harold Ray Battle, Sr.; second husband, W.O. “Bill” Flowers, sons, Bobby Ray Battle and Steven Wayne Battle and brothers, Sonny Burge and Melvin Burge.

She is survived by her children, Harold Battle and wife Angela of Silsbee, Robert Battle and wife Letha Jo of Lumberton, Ricky Battle and wife Sondra Jo of Silsbee; daughter-in-law, Janice Battle Smith and husband Bud of Silsbee; grandchildren, Ray Battle, Michael Battle, Jessica Crain, Josh Battle, Craig Williams, Doug Battle, Rodney Battle, Jennifer Battle, Joani Hudspeth, Mikey Weems, Kimberly Sowell and Peyton Battle; 38 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and brother, George “Bubba” Burge and wife Dianne of Lumberton.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Farmer Funeral Home, 415 N. 4th Street, Silsbee, TX. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Andy Moore. Interment will follow at Leatherwood Cemetery, in Lumberton.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Craig Williams, Doug Battle, Rodney Battle, Ray Battle, Michael Battle and Josh Battle. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Hudspeth and Zevin Loftin.
