Obituary of Willie Joyce Gandy

Willie “Joyce” Gandy, 90, of Kountze, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. She was born in Daisetta, Texas on September 22, 1927, to her parents, Jessee and Mintie Meadows. She was a great cook and could prepare most anything. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Samuel Gandy; parents, Jessee and Mintie Meadows; siblings, Bob Meadows, Flora Flowers, Dru White, Earline Parsley, George Meadows, Herbert Meadows, and Nevada Knight.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Kay Ryan of Kountze; grandsons, Brent Allen Parker and wife, Theresa of Kountze, and Joseph “Ross” Hamilton of Kountze; great-grandchildren, Annastacia Marie Hamilton of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kyla BreeAnn Parker of Kountze, and Gage Allen Parker of Kountze; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.
