Obituary of Leona Josephine Gregory
Leona Josephine Gregory, age 58, passed away Wednesday May 30, 2018. She was born to Jerry Thrasher and Mary Josephine Richard on October 3, 1959 in Canadian, Oklahoma.
Leona was a caregiver serving at various nursing homes throughout her career. She was a devoted wife and mother. Family was very important to her. She enjoyed being around her loved ones. Her sense of humor was something that made family gatherings special with the way she would pick and tease just about everyone. Leona was the peacemaker of the family and it took a lot to push her buttons; but when you did she made sure to set you straight. Leona was a great cook but even a better baker. She enjoyed crocheting and working crossword and word puzzles. Leona was a faithful servant and will be missed by all who love her. Her legacy will continue.
Preceding Leona in death is her father, Jerry Thrasher; and brother, John Thrasher.
Left to honor Leona’s memory is her loving husband, Gary Gene Gregory of Silsbee; mother, Mary Thrasher and Burl Maxwell of Jerusalem, AR; son, Justin Eugene Gregory and wife, Lauri Siems, of Woodville, TX; sisters Lynn Armstrong of Silsbee, and Donna Thrasher of Pineville, LA; brothers, Richard Thrasher and wife, Deborah, of Pineville, LA, and Alford Thrasher and wife, Sheila, of Silsbee, TX; granddaughters, Evelyn Marie Gregory Stassi and Seanna Michelle Belshe; also survived by many other loving family and friends.
