Obituary of Mourad Collier

“Bo” Mourad Collier, 72, of Silsbee, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018. He was born March 6, 1946 in Silsbee, Texas. He was a great carpenter, a truck driver, and a pipefitter in Local 195. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a true gentle man and he never got angry. He was a great father-in-law and he treated his sons-in-law as if they were his own sons. He was a lovely sweet husband and a wonderful dad and pawpaw.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lydia Collier; siblings, Bruce, Jerry, Evelyn, and Lenore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Lou Collier of Silsbee; daughters, Maria Caraway and husband, Chris of Silsbee, and Misty Shakeel and husband, Syed of Silsbee; grandchildren, Josh Caraway and wife, Heather, Ethan Caraway, Allie Caraway, Mourie Hooks and husband, Troy, Mourad Shakeel, and Wendell Shakeel; great-grandchildren, Caleb Caraway, Chrislynn Caraway, and Bo Granger Caraway; siblings, Melva, Nelda, Liz, Hazel, and Eddie; sister-in-law, Lucille; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2018 at Farmer Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Ray McNames. Interment will follow at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee.

Serving as pallbearers will be Syed Shakeel, Chris Caraway, Josh Caraway, Ethan Caraway, Mourad Shakeel, and Wendell Shakeel.
