Obituary of Martha Elizabeth Rhoads

Martha Elizabeth Rhoads, 71, of Silsbee passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont after a long illness.  Martha was born March 15, 1947 in Beaumont. She lived most of her life in Silsbee. Martha was a good mother and a good housewife. She enjoyed reading and cross stitching. She was a devoted mother and she loved her kids with all of her heart. Martha will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Shyla Gilley; and sister, Dottie Norton.

Martha is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Sonny Rhoads; children, William Rhoads and wife, Lisa of Temple, and Bonita Fuller and husband, Tim of Silsbee; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, officiated by Pastor Reg Lloyd. Interment will follow at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Timothy Fuller, Jr., Tim Fuller, Curtis Norton, Cheyenne Gore, Carroll Rhoads, and Edward Stehle.
