Obituary of Linda Faye Walters

Linda Faye Walters, 67, of Honey Island, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at a Beaumont area hospital. She was born October 27, 1950 in Fred, Texas. She was a devoted wife and mother. Linda attended Chapel of Jesus’ Building Church. She was an excellent cook, her specialties were her sweet potato casserole and her greens and cornbread. She was an awesome momma, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Wayne Walters; parents, Oscar and Lizzie Reid; siblings, Oscar Lee Reid, Jr., Billy Earl Reid, and Frances Taylor.

She is survived by her sons, Randy Walters and wife, Gwynn of Honey Island, Jeff Walters, Sr. and wife, Terri of Honey Island, and Michael Walters and wife Nayome of Honey Island, 14 grandkids, 17 great-grandkids, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Farmer Funeral Home, officiated by Dock Flowers and Jeff Walters, Sr. Interment will follow at Jordan Cemetery in Honey Island.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Walters, Randy Walters, Jeremy Walters, Booboo Lowe, Dylan Cantrell, Jeff Walters, Jr., Dallas Tunnel, and Jon Doyle. Honorary pallbearers are Nicky Page, Alex Campoz, Izzy Campoz, Ricky Thomas, and Jeff Walters, Sr.
