Obituary of Glorious Joyce Middlebrook

Glorious Joyce McNeel Middlebrook, age 85, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018.

She was born April 1, 1933, in Beaumont, Texas, to parents William J. McNeel and Hazel Rountree McNeel. She had lived in the Southeast Texas area most of her life, however, she really enjoyed living in the Durango, Colorado, area for approximately ten years.

Ms. Middlebrook worked as a floral designer with several years of service to Johnsen’s Florist.  She had a love for flowers and enjoyed working with flowers at home as well.  She had attended Lamar Assembly of God Church and also had great pride in taking care of her dogs through the years.

Her survivors include a sister, Rhonda L. McNeel of Silsbee; a brother, Randall McNell of Silsbee; a nephew, Brad McNeel and his family; along with a host of cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Hazel McNeel; a brother, William J. McNeel Jr.; and sisters, Doris Purvis and Hazel McNeel.

A graveside service is set for 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2018, at the Daniels Cemetery, located on FM 418 near Kountze, Texas.
