Obituary of Lucille A. Driggers
Lucille A. Driggers, 89, of Lufkin, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018. She was born April 27, 1929, in Spartanburg, SC, to her parents, Lewis and Sadie Green. Lucille was a proud employee for over 20 years with Walmart in Silsbee. She retired at the age of 83, after working in the Health and Beauty Aids Department as a sales clerk. She enjoyed watching crime stories on television and baking for special occasions. Lucille was a resident of Silsbee for 38 years, before moving to Lufkin, to live closer to family after losing her husband in 2015. One thing everyone should know about Lucille was that she loved her family more than life itself! She was the greatest example of selfless love and will be missed by all who knew her.
Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Driggers. They were married for 61 years at the time of his death in 2015. Also preceding Lucille in death were her granddaughter, Pamela Driggers; and siblings, Clyde Green, Jim Green, Loys Jones, and Clarence Green.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Cheryl Driggers of Lufkin, Kelli Mixon of McKinney; four grandchildren, Taylor Driggers, Peyton Mixon, Savana Mixon, and Karson Mixon; two great-grandchildren, Kimberlee Pender and Wyatt Driggers; and nephew, Dennis Mooney and wife, Elaine and family.
Honoring her wishes, there are no scheduled services.
