Obituary of Nerveline Jenkins

Mrs. Nerveline Jenkins, age 72, of Fred, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

She was born January 30, 1946, in Kountze, Texas, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. She had worked with various local businesses but was a homemaker who loved her family and especially the “grandbabies.” Mrs. Jenkins loved playing all kinds of games and found a great joy in outdoors activities, such as camping, hunting, and fishing.

Her survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Roe and Chandra Jenkins and Danny Wayne and Trisha Jenkins, all of Fred, Texas; a granddaughter, Shannon Blackwell and husband Colt of Lumberton, Texas; grandsons, Johnathon Jenkins, Coltan Jenkins, Dillon Jenkins, Conner Jenkins, and Hunter Jenkins, all of Fred, Texas; and a great-grandson, Walker Blackwell of Lumberton, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tharp “Bud” Jenkins on August 2, 2018; her parents, Tom and Mary (West) Cravey; and her siblings, Lucy Gore, Ernest Cravey, Ruth Gore, Cassie Crawford, Ree Crawford, Oliver “Sonny Boy” Cravey, and Dorothy Gore.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2018, at Anchor of Hope Fellowship Church, located at 450 E. Bear Street in Kountze, Texas.

Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Anchor of Hope Fellowship Church with Pastor Mitchell Gore officiating. Interment will follow at Fred Community Cemetery, located on County Road 4700 in Fred, Texas.
