Obituary of Jimmy Neil Glenn
Jimmy Neil Glenn, 86, of Evadale, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018. He was born August 7, 1932 in Lubbock, TX. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a Supervisor for Goodyear. Jimmy was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church of Evadale, where he served as a deacon. Jimmy loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family and enjoyed spending his time with them.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, John and Velma Glenn; son, Donald Ray Glenn; brothers, Bobby Glenn, Joey Glenn, and Jesse Glenn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ruby Langley Glenn of Evadale; son, Neil Glenn and wife, Pam of Evadale; grandchildren, Becky Angeron and husband, Chris of Beaumont, and Patrick Glenn and wife, Wendy of Vidor; great-grandchildren, Brian, Tyler, Kristen, Dylan, Reese, and Zoey.
His family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Roger Hoogterp. Interment will be later that afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Tanner Cemetery in Burkeville, TX.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Patrick Glenn, Dylan Glenn, Chris Angeron, Brian Angeron, Tyler Angeron and Bob Fancher.
