Obituary of Emily Anne Jefferson

Mrs. Emily Anne Jefferson, age 95, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Jefferson was born March 2, 1923, in Hartford, Connecticut, to parents Walther Charles Kruger and Frieda Johanna Meyer Kruger.  Emily and her husband, W.J. Jefferson, were former longtime residents of Beaumont, Texas, where he was employed by Gulf States Utilities for a number of years. She enjoyed operating an antique and dried flower business, “From Emily With Love,” during her years living in Beaumont.

Her survivors include her son, Arthur Jefferson Sr. and his wife Maria of Port Neches, Texas; a daughter, Alisa Bocskovits and her husband John of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and two grandsons, Arthur Jefferson II of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Patrick Friese of Jackson, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2017.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel, located at 415 N. Fourth Street in Silsbee, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Farmer Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow with a 2:30 p.m. committal service at Ebenezer Cemetery, located near Colmesneil, Texas.
