Obituary of Jimmy Earl Gore

Mr. Jimmy Earl Gore, 74, of Spurger, TX, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.

He was born Jan. 10, 1944, and grew up in Fred. Jimmy graduated from Warren High School in 1962, where he was a stand-out athlete in football. So much so, that he was among a handful of former players honored during the dedication of the school's new stadium and trophies bearing his name still grace the trophy cases at Warren High School.

He worked for DuPont in Beaumont for more than 35 years, retiring in 2005. Jimmy enjoyed hunting and hosting cook-outs for family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Ruby; sons, Randy of Fred, Mike and wife Cassandra of Kenner, LA., Scott and wife Stacy of Woodville, Todd of Spurger and Pete Alexander of Beaumont; daughter, Lisa and husband Joe Richardson of Buna; sisters, Myrtis Whisenant of Fred, Betty and Charles Dohmann of Silsbee, Ernestine Clinton and husband Bubba of Jennings, LA, and Linda Gail and Sonny Mack Townsend of Evadale; brothers, Norman and Marilyn Gore of Fred and Dale and Tammy Gore of Silsbee; grandchildren, Kasey Gore, Tanner Gore (Jessie), Savannah Gore (Aaron), Madison Gore, Jack Gore, Kayla Richardson, and Dustin Richardson; and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Gore will be at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred.
