Obituary of Josephine Fowler White

After a long and happy life of almost 98 years, Jo passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018, in Austin. She was born on January 27, 1921, in Emad, LA.

She grew up dancing and toured the country with a professional group before she married Triggs R White on December 26, 1941.  After 30 years in the Air Force and raising three children, Triggs and Jo returned to the Golden Triangle.

She continued to be a happy tap dancer and enjoyed many years as a beach bum at Crystal Beach.

Jo is survived by her sister, June Dudley of Beaumont; sons, Bob of Albuquerque, NM, and Mickey of Austin; daughter, Linda Smith and her husband Patrick of Spokane, WA; grandson, Jak and his mother Pat Mears of Fairplay, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We will be celebrating her life at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee, with a visitation on Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the funeral service on Friday, December 21, 2018, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
