Obituary of Leavey Ann Mullins

Leavey Ann “Roonie” Mullins, 74, of Silsbee, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at her home. She was the matriarch of her family and she went by many names, Sister, Roonie, Momma, Granny, Granny-Annie, and GiGi. She was all about her family, she would sacrifice anything for them. Her doors were always open to visitors and she never turned her back on anyone. She was a great cook, some of her specialties were chicken and dumplings, Irish Stew and Pecan Pie. She was much loved and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Mullins; parents, Richard and Rosealee Cheshire; siblings, Richard Cheshire, Jr., and great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Butler.

She is survived by her loving children, Darla Leatherwood and husband, Bo, of Silsbee, Leo Butler, Jr. and wife, Angel of Mineral Wells, Michael Butler and wife, Allison of Silsbee, Tommy Joe Mullins, Jr. and wife, Robin of Silsbee, Ricky Mullins and wife, Laura of Nederland, Randy Mullins and wife, Melissa of Kirbyville, and Destiny Hatcher of Silsbee; numerous grandkids and great-grandkids; siblings, Theresa Williams and husband, C. P. of Mauriceville, Jimmie Roy of Houston, Hazel Nicholson and husband, Rex of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

Her family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at Good Samaritan Fellowship Church in Fred. Interment will follow at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Butler, Troy Butler, Jacob, Butler, Dihlon Underwood, Cory Butler, Trevor Williams, Andrew Bolen, and Rodney Rohn. Honorary pallbearers are Mathew Phillips and Blake Phillips.
