Obituary of Rory Allen McGlynn

Mr. Rory Allen McGlynn of Silsbee, Texas, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at the age of 49 years, 1 months, and 25 days.

Rory was born November 6, 1969, in Huntington Park, California. He had been a longtime resident of California before moving to Hardin County, Texas, a few years ago to be closer to his mother. He had been a faithful son and was a tremendous help to his mother during these years.

Mr. McGlynn enjoyed outdoor activities, with a special fondness for hunting and fishing. He was a carpenter and worked in the construction field.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bruce McGlynn.

His survivors include his mother, Dorothy Richardson Beard of Silsbee, Texas; a brother, Randy McGlynn of the Shreveport, Louisiana, area; a sister, Sherri Ruth McGlynn of Needles, California; two nieces; and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Rogers and Pastor Ed Johnson officiating. The family will begin receiving guests at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
