Obituary of Earl Wayne Hall

Mr. Earl Wayne Hall of Fred, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 78 years, 1 month, and 21 days.

“Wayne” was born November 13, 1940, in Douglassville, Texas, to parents William Otis Hall and Della Sprayberry Hall. He grew up and spent his life’s early years in Hemphill, Texas, before moving to Fred, Texas, 53 years ago.

Mr. Hall was a faithful member of Fred Pentecostal Church and had previously been involved with the Lions Club and Fred Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. Wayne was one of the most dedicated die hard fans of the Dallas Cowboys.

He was a retired pipefitter welder. Wayne was employed at Bethlehem Steel Company and then worked several years with Local #195 before his retirement.

His survivors include his wife, Betty Hall of Fred, Texas; a son, Billy Hall of Spurger, Texas; a daughter, Linda Havis and husband Michael of Silsbee, Texas; grandsons, Brandon Walker of Newnan, Georgia, and Cameron Havis of Ball, Louisiana; a great-grandson, Lane Pantalion; great-granddaughters, Bailey Wallker, Avery Parker, and Emmalyn Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Syble Clark.

Services are set for 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2019, at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel, located at 415 N. Fourth Street in Silsbee, Texas, with Bro. Jim Chance officiating. Interment will follow at Fred Community Cemetery, located on County Road 4700 in Fred, Texas.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Chance, Brian Moore, J.J. Smith, Doug Hutto, Randy Rhodes, and Michael Feldschau.
