Obituary of James Marvin "Jimmy" Immel

Mr. James Marvin "Jimmy" Immel of Orangefield, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 51.

Mr. Immel was born April 30, 1967, in Beaumont, Texas. Jimmy was a former longtime resident of the Silsbee, Texas, area before moving to Orange County, Texas. He had worked in the construction industry and found great pleasure in working on cars. Jimmy's "heart was as big as Texas," as he was always thinking of others.

His survivors include his wife, Edith Smith of Orangefield, Texas; son, James Ewing of Orangefield, Texas; daughter, April Smith of Beaumont, Texas; grandchildren, Camori Johnson and Cameron Carl-Phillip Ewing; mother and step-father, Genie and Paul Mott of Starks, Louisiana; brothers, Freddie Immel Jr. of Call, Texas, and Kris Immel of Colorado; and sisters, Amber Immel of Port Neches Texas, and Angelique Immel of Lumberton, Texas.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Freddie Immel; and a granddaughter, Isabella Marie Ewing.

Graveside services are set for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Cunningham Cemetery, located on FM 92 North of Silsbee, Texas.
