Obituary of Linda Dee Stephens

Mrs. Linda Dee Stephens of Silsbee, Texas, passed away Monday, March  4, 2019, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 67 years, 11 months, and 16 days.

Linda was born March 19, 1951, in Silsbee, Texas, to parent Ellis and Nova Dee (Walters) Bohler and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a hairdresser and operated a salon for a number of years before retiring and devoting her last years to her family. She found great joy in taking care of her family.

A strong believer in God, she placed her ultimate faith in her Lord. She loved nature and outdoors—whether it be fishing or tending the yard enjoying the beautiful flowers and plants. Linda was quite a creative person, delighting to sew and crochet as well as working with many other types of craft projects.

Her survivors include her husband, Dan Stephens of Silsbee, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Christi and Thomas Gibson Jr. of Silsbee, Texas; granddaughters, Meagan Hamshire and husband Chase of Warren, Texas, and Brooke Harvey of Silsbee, Texas; a grandson, Zachary Harvey of Silsbee, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Avery Hamshire of Warren, Texas; and a sister, Lois Ann Buck of Nacogdoches, Texas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Faye Pender, and a brother, Virgil Lee Bohler.

Services are set for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel, located at 415 North Fourth Street in Silsbee, Texas, with Bro. Bill Yeary officiating. Interment will follow at Hardin Memorial Park, located on Cemetery Road in Silsbee, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Farmer Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Paul King, Corey King, Jason Smith, Chris Jordan, Bryan Welker, and Kenneth King.
