Obituary of James Aubrey Grissom

James Aubrey Grissom, of Fred, TX, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the age of 81 years and 12 days.

He was born to Gladys and Aubrey Grissom on February 25, 1938.

James is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amanda Gail Grissom; and brother, Billy Truman Grissom.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Juanita Grissom of Fred, TX; daughters, Connie Gibson and husband, Randy of Warren, TX, and Brenda Lane and husband, Jamie of Cleveland, TX; also brothers, Raymond Grissom and wife Vivian of Fred, TX, and Thomas (Cobb) Grissom and wife, Sandy of Pineland, TX, seven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, along with 2 nieces and 5 nephews.

James was a member of Wiley Mae Community Baptist Church.

His family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Farmer Funeral Home, officiated by Brother C. W. Lawrence. Interment will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Richie Lee Grissom, David Grissom, Steve Grissom, Mike Grissom, Gary Gibson, and Matt Jordon. The honorary pallbearers are the Men’s Sunday School Class at Wiley Mae Community Baptist Church.
