Obituary of Michael Wayne Cavaretta

Michael Wayne Cavaretta, age 50, of Vidor, Texas, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 14, 1968, in Houston, Texas, to Lewis Paul and Linda Jane Cavaretta.

Michael was a rocker from the very beginning.  All who had the pleasure of knowing him, knew that music was his life. He loved playing in church, and his faith of God was prevalent for him and his loving wife, Sabrina. Michael met his beloved wife several years ago at a church function, and they were connected from the beginning. They were married on March 16, 2019, in a beautiful church ceremony.  Even though their time together was short, the quality of their love was something that was unbreakable. Michael loved his family and his daughter Desiree was his angel. She was his “baby-love” from the day she was born. Michael will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His music will live on in our memories.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Katherine Cavaretta; Thomas and Roberta Griffin; and baby brother, David Paul Cavaretta.

Left to honor Michael’s memory is his beloved wife, Sabrina Young Cavaretta; stepdaughter, Krysten Young, and stepson, Jonathan Young; parents, Lewis and Linda Cavaretta; sister, Laura Cavaretta Williams and husband, Michael; daughter, Desiree Cavaretta and her mother, Victoria Cavaretta; aunts, Jeanne White and husband, Mickey, Stella Mabry and husband, Glen; and numerous cousins.

His family will receive friends on Monday March 25, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., at Farmer Funeral Home, 415 N. 4th Street, Silsbee, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 S LHS Drive, Lumberton, Texas, with Reverend Andy Moore officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze, Texas.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Michael Williams, Jonathan Young, Anthony Reyes and Joseph Reyes.
