Obituary of James Earl Ringo

Mr. James Earl Ringo of Silsbee, Texas, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019, at Pine Arbor Health Care Center in Silsbee, Texas, at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 10 days. He was born November 19, 1929, in Robstown, Texas, and had been a longtime resident of the Southeast Texas area. Mr. Ringo was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was a retired pipe fitter from the Evadale paper mill. Mr. Ringo was also a member of Oak Grove Harvest Assembly of God Church in Spurger, TX. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Ringo is preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Cherry Ringo; and second wife, Doris Hargraves Ringo.

He is survived by his children, James Timothy Ringo of Silsbee, Stephen “Bubba” Ringo and wife,  Janelle of Silsbee, Thomas Ringo and wife, Belinda, Karen Gonzalez and husband, Ovidio of Henderson. TX; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Farmer Funeral Home, 415 N. 4th Street, Silsbee, TX.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at Oak Grove Harvest Assembly of God Church, 18459 FM 92 Rd S., Spurger, TX 77660, officiated by Pastor Scott Briggs. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Ringo, Joel Gonzalez, Bill Drake, Clint Martin, Jake Martin, and Cody Drake. Honorary pallbearers are Lindy Haynes and Daniel Drake.
