Obituary of Marvin Keith Fountain

Marvin Keith Fountain, 56, was born on Feb. 17, 1963, in Cleveland, TX, and passed away on April 2, 2019, at his residence in Fred, TX.

Marvin grew up in Fred, lived in Buchanan, TX, for 18 years and worked for the Lower Colorado River Authority, before returning to live in Fred. He worked as an iron worker in the Mid County area before a medical condition forced him to retire. He loved to hunt and fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JC and Clara Fountain; brothers, Jack Fountain, Jr. and Gerry Dean Fountain.

He is survived by two children, Amber Blair and husband Matt of Denver, CO, and Brandon and wife Ashley Fountain of Palm Harbor, FL; grandsons, Sayer and Michael; brothers, AJ and wife Portia of Buna, Wayne and wife Shelia of South Mayd, TX, Calvin and wife Sue of Kountze, Donald and wife Karen of Fred, and Steve and wife Julie of Fred; sisters, Brenda and husband Roger of Fred, Rena and husband Jim of Fred, Pam and husband Marty of Brookeland, TX, and Tammy and husband Jim of San Francisco, CA, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Farmer Funeral Home, 415 N. 4th Street, Silsbee, TX. The Funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Mickey Fountain. Interment will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Fountain, Gerry Walton, Gathan Fountain, Randy Krebs, Jason Moore and Michael Huddleston.
