Obituary of Sugarbowl Eason Shaw

Sugarbowl Eason Shaw, 76, 0f Silsbee, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019. She was a loving kind hearted woman with a heart as big as Texas, but you didn’t want to make her mad. She never stayed mad for long and she would quickly get back to loving you. She was the type of person who would give you the shirt off of her back. She was a mother to everyone who needed it. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Sugarbowl is preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Lizzie Eason; daughter, Tammy Shaw; siblings, Elmo Eason, Vivian Barrett, Ada Mae Mobley, Vernon Eason and great grandson James Dawson Shaw.

She is survived by her sons, James Douglas Shaw and wife, Sheila of Jasper, and Russell Shaw of Silsbee; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Lavoy Eason and wife, Debbie of Spurger, and Ralph Eason of Spurger; sisters, Leedita Tanton of Silsbee, and Sandra Lynn Johnson and husband, Lucky of Temple; Long-time companion and friend, Marty Bingham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sugarbowl’s family will receive friends on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Chapel In the Pines Church of Spurger. A memorial service will immediately follow at 5:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Grady Mobley, Reverend Wayne Watts, and Reverend Lavoy Eason.
