Obituary of Bobby N. Wilburn

Bobby N. “Bob” Wilburn, 83, of Silsbee, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. Bob was born February 28, 1936 in Center, Texas. He worked for Central Freight Lines for 37 years. He was awarded the Good Driving award for 35 years of safe driving. His main deliveries were in the mid-county area; where he has numerous friends. He was a member of the Snow River Masonic Lodge in Spurger, and a Mason for 61 years. Bob and his wife, Betty were active members of the Pinecrest Baptist Church is Silsbee for many years. He was a member of the Camp Branch Hunting Club in Spurger for 20 years, he left many good friends there. His passion was hunting wild hogs and deer, he also loved fishing. He would take his kids, Lisa and Bobby hunting with him at an early age. Lisa killed her first deer at 7, and Bobby also at 7. He would also hunt Deer with friends, his ex-brother-in-law, Glen Lang and his son, Jason Lang. Bob would go to camp at Toledo Bend to meet up with his nephews, whom he was extremely close to, Eugene Nall and Charles “Hippie” Collins. He loved and looked forward to having his family over, especially those grandkids.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Reese P. Wilburn and Addie Anderson Wilburn.

Bob left behind his loving wife of 23 years, Betty Fischer Wilburn; and together their 4 children, Beverly A Wilburn Evans, Lisa D. Wilburn Perkins, Bobby Wayne Wilburn, and Melvin Fischer Wright; grandchildren, Gary Don Evans, Amanda Dudley, Morgan Perkins, Brooke Perkins, Emily Lindahl, Camryn B. Wilburn, Bobby W. Wilburn Jr., Jaydin Henson, Kellin Mitchell, Hannah Wilburn, and Azariah Torres; great-grandchildren, Lori Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Kelly Hubbard, Alley Evans, Tucker Evans, and Brenton Whitley; siblings, Billy Sue Smith, Edith Risinger, Douglas Eugene “Tom” Wilburn, and William F. “Cotton” Wilburn.

Bob’s family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 30, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will be a second visitation on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Watson and Sons Funeral Home, in Center, Texas. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m., officiated by John Sutton. Internment will follow at West Hamilton Cemetery in Center, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Lang, Eugene Nall, Todd Wilburn, J. D. Dudley, David Smith, and Barry Smith.
