Obituary of Bennie Lewis McNaughten

Bennie Lewis McNaughten, 84, of Silsbee, TX, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was born July 22, 1934, near Milam, TX, to Lydia Gray and Benton McNaughten. He graduated from Hemphill High School in 1951. He went to work for Texaco, Inc., Port Arthur at the age of 18 and retired after 43 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lois Anderson.

Bennie is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lottie Drake McNaughten; son, Brandon McNaughten of Silsbee; brother, James (Joe) McNaughten and wife Montez of Milam; sisters, Mary Joyce O’Riley of Silsbee, Shirley Parks and husband Stephen of San Antonio, Helen Forman of Marshal, Betty Turley and husband Jim of Longview, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

His family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Farmer Funeral Home, 415 N. 4th Street, Silsbee, TX, with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Franks Branch Cemetery, Fred, TX.
