Obituary of Edward Louis Murray

Edward Louis Murray, age 66, of Buna, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019. A memorial gathering will be held at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee, Texas on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Ed was born September 25, 1952, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to parents, Patrica Ann (Walmsley) Murray and Warren Louis Murray, Sr. He was a long-time resident of Buna, Texas. Ed made a career as a Fire Alarm Superintendent at, Southwest Building Systems, in Silsbee. He and his family were very dedicated fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Ed also had a great love for hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He loved his dogs more than most people and the feeling was mutual. Ed very much so enjoyed most any type of Irish whiskey as well as old western movies, books and John Wayne in particular. In the summertime, Ed’s whole family took trips to Pennsylvania to visit family and would always have the best time just going there and back. They loved playing road games to entertain one another. In each town Ed would stop in he had to get the local paper. The family always made a fun time out of their trips and enjoyed every chance they got. Ed was a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Warren Murray, Sr. and Patricia Murray; his brothers, Warren Louis Murray, Jr., and Joseph John Murray.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Lester) Murray; children, Heather Ann Murray, Edward Forrest Murray and wife, Marie Elizabeth Murray and Michael Donald Murray; siblings, Jean Ann (Murray) Pecman, Mary Alice (Murray) MacZura, Thomas William Murray, Cyr Richard Murray, Brian Louis Murray, Cajetan Anthony Murray and Patricia Isabella Murray.
