Obituary of Willie Lou Vaughn

Willie Lou Vaughn, 87, of Silsbee, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019. She lived in Silsbee most of her life. She was a 1948 graduate of Silsbee High School. She was a very active long-life member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many callings in the church. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also helped to inspire the teens as an early morning seminary teacher. She and her husband served as temple workers in both the Dallas and Houston LDS Temples. She also held many other various callings. Her family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed all the family gatherings and especially visits from her grand and great grandchildren.

Willie Lou is preceded in death by her husband, Owen Gordon Vaughn, Sr.; parents, Walter Lee and Lucinda Moulder; siblings, Genevieve Cryer, Walter Lee Moulder, Jr., Marilyn Olsen, and Henry Charles Moulder.

She is survived by her children, Owen Gordon Vaughn, Jr. and wife, Brenda Loyce of Kountze, Debra Lee Windsor and husband, Ray of New Braunfels, Jeffrey William Vaughn and wife, Trina of Avinger, TX, and Mary Lucinda Fore and husband, John of Silsbee; grandchildren, Laura Lee Foster and husband, Robert, Jami Lynn Larsen and husband, Dane, David Owen Vaughn and wife, Tess, Douglas Keith Rankin and wife, Kristi, Lisa Ann Rankin, Kristina Lynae Abel and husband, Derek, Christopher Lynn Fore, and Karina Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Talia, Rhus, Kels, Llyr, Dylan, Tristen, Briley, Linley, Kade, Kara, Jeremy, Carrie, Gabriel, and Addilyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Moulder Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Silsbee, officiated by Bishop Brian Bebee.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Foster, David Vaughn, Dane Larsen, Keith Rankin, Derek Able, and Christopher Fore. The honorary pallbearers are Rhus Larsen, Kels Larsen, Llyr Larsen, Dylan Vaughn, Tristen Rankin, Kade Pope, Jeremy Able, and Gabriel Boudreaux.
