Obituary of Gloria Louise Walker

Gloria Louise Walker, age 91, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019, at 2:00 PM, at Farmer Funeral Home, with Brother C.W. Lawrence officiating services. Interment will immediately follow services at Cunningham Cemetery in Silsbee, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to services, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Gloria was born on Saturday, November 26, 1927, in Silsbee, Texas to parents, Bessie Mae (Collier) and Rowan Busley. She was a lifetime resident of Silsbee, where she was known by many as the sweet lady that delivered the newspaper for an ample amount of years. Gloria was a one of a kind woman that loved life in general. She loved her family beyond measures and loved her animals as if there were her family as well. She loved to listen to old country music and dance wherever she was standing; even in the kitchen. She loved to sit around and drink coffee and visit with loved ones as well as cook for everyone, whether you were hungry or not. Gloria was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Rowan and Bessie Mae Busley.

Gloria is survived by her loving children, Larry Lightfoot and wife, Debbie, Kenneth Walker and wife Melda and Gail Etue; Seven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
