Obituary of Alice Geneva Harrison
Alice Geneva Harrison, 74, of Silsbee, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019. She was born March 9, 1945 in Fred, Texas. She worked at Pine Arbor Nursing Home for many years as a nurses’ aide. She enjoyed fishing and shopping. She was a talented quilt maker and seamstress. She loved her family with all of her heart, they meant the world to her, especially her son. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Elbert Harrison, Sr.; parents, Edward and Myrtie Drake; brothers, Britton Drake, and Marvin Drake; sisters, Ramona Jenkins, Ruby Jenkins, Wanda Jeffcoat, and Laura Frizzell.
Alice is survived by her loving son, George Elbert Harrison, Jr. and wife Ileene Kaplan; grandchildren, George Harrison. III, Candace Harrison, and Rachel Renshaw; sister, Lottie McNaughten of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews; and special niece and nephew, Karen Duvail and husband, Emmette of Silsbee.
The family will receive friends at Farmer Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Wayne Watts. Interment will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Frizzell, Sr., Robert Frizzell, Jr., Edward Jenkins, Lawrence Jenkins, Barney Jenkins, and Emmette Duvail.
