Obituary of Elizabeth Irene Auer

Elizabeth Irene Auer, 47, of Silsbee, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019. She was born March 15, 1972 in Nederland, Texas. Elizabeth was a selfless woman who was always taking care of the needs of others. She had a knack for decorating. She was everyone’s best friend. According to her husband, her only short-coming was him, it was obvious that she was the better half, and he considers himself lucky to have married such a great wife and an awesome mother to their children. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father, Gary Craig; grandfather, Barney Green; and grandparents, Millie and Marvin Craig.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Darin Auer of Silsbee; daughters, Elianna Auer, and Emillie Auer; mother, Amanda Craig; grandmother, Jeanie Green; brother, Michael Craig; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 670 N 5th Street, Silsbee, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery, Silsbee, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Craig, Cade Craig, Al Waters, Ryan Harkey, Jerry Auer, and Jason Fuller.
