Obituary of Donald Wayne Cravy

Donald Wayne Cravy, age 72, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 1:00 PM, at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee, Texas, with Brother Elmer Eddings and Brother Vance Cawley officiating services. Interment will immediately follow services at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Services are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.

Donald was born on August 27, 1947, in Silsbee, Texas to parents, Pauline (Moss) Cravy and Jim Cravy. Donald met the love of his life when came to know Kathy (Bielecki). The couple shared 50 blissful years together. Donald was a very hard worker and always provided for his family by whatever means necessary. He made his living as a lineman while working for, Triple S, as well as a few others. Family was everything to him and they were all very close knit. The kids spent a lot of wonderful times with their dad enjoying the great outdoors, doing things he enjoyed, such as hunting, fishing and running trot lines on the river. The children were the light of his life, until the grandchildren came along and stole the spotlight. In his eyes, they could do no wrong and the feeling was reciprocated. Witty, funny and brilliant were a few of the words used to accurately describe Donald Cravy.

Donald was a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Pauline Cravy; sisters, Jimmie Thibodeaux and Maxine Hulett; brother, Travis Cravy as well as his wife, Wanda Cravy and nephew, Mike Langston.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Kathy Cravy; daughters, Melissa Bryan and husband Scotty, Alicia Cravy Combs and son, Jim Cravy; Grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, Haley, Mason, Allie and Madison; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honoring Donald; Gary Combs, Tommy Strawther, Travis LeBlanc, Mike Coil, Logan Newland and Matthew Bryan, as well as, Honorary Pallbearer, Ottis Morrow.
