Obituary of Judith Maureen Cobb

Judith Maureen Jackson Cobb, 77, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019. She was born in Beaumont, TX on October 14, 1941. She grew up in Silsbee and raised a family in Crosby but also lived in Peru, Spain, CA, GA, and SC. Judy was a passionate educator with a degree from Lamar University. She spent over 20 years teaching 1st and 2nd grades in Crosby ISD. She was self-sacrificing for her family, as well as strong, courageous, and hard-working. Above all else, she had a big heart and was an amazing mother and friend to all. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Maureen Jackson.

Judy is survived by her loving children, Kimberly Cobb of Nacogdoches, Suzanne Franco of Ripon (CA), Christine and husband Warren Portenier of Worden (MT), and Steven and wife Bitsy Cobb of Katy; sister, Jana Fleming; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will have a memorial service at First Baptist Church Crosby, TX on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with a dessert fellowship immediately following. A private interment will be on October 14, 2019 at Rest Haven Cemetery, Silsbee, TX.
