Obituary of Arnold Stevens
Mr. Arnold Stevens joined the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2019, at his residence in Silsbee, Texas, at the age of 72.
Mr. Stevens was born January 19, 1947, in Silsbee, Texas. He was a lifelong area resident. Arnold enjoyed spending time with his family. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. The soothing sounds of the woods and trickling water always brought Arnold joy. Growing up Arnold learned that you have to work hard in life. He found his niche working for many years as a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Lee and Osie Mae Stevens.
His survivors include his wife, Gloria Jean Stevens of Silsbee; children, Pam Jones, Brenda Stevens, Margaret Akins, Arnold Stevens Junior, and Mitchell Stevens; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving friends.
Family and friends will be having a private memorial.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away. Although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
